Gregory P. Holcomb Reappointed as City Attorney, Allison Hall Hired as Deputy Clerk

During Tuesdays regularly called the Board of Alderman meeting, City Attorney Gregory P. Holcomb was reappointed as City Attorney.
The board also hired Allison Hall as the new Deputy Clerk. There was also an approved proclamation of March 2023 as Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in the city of Poplarville.
In other business, the Board approved 3 event requests;
- The Poplarville Area Chamber of Commerce has requested the use of The Town Green on April 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon for an Easter Egg Hunt. Face painting, Kona Ice, and pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available.
- The Poplarville Area Chamber of Commerce has requested the use of Downtown Main Street
on May 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for their annual Trash to Treasure garage sale. Security and Parking
Control has been requested. Barricades will be necessary from Cumberland Street to Magnolia Street. - Poplarville First United Methodist Church has requested the use of The Town Green from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on April 7, 2023, to hold Good Friday worship services for the community.
