The Poplarville Cheer and National Champions were honored at the State Capital on Friday, March 24.

On Saturday, Feb. 18 The Poplarville cheer team competed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at The Walt Disney World in Orland FL. They were crowned as the 2023 UCA National High School Cheering Champions for their 95.9 first-place Small Varsity Non-Tumbling Game Day Division II performance.

“It was an honor and an incredible privilege to welcome our Poplarville High School Cheerleaders to the Capitol as we honored them with the passage of a concurrent resolution celebrating their recent victory as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS”, said Representative Jansen Owen
