Annual Christmas Celebrations Unfold in Poplarville

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — On Friday, the City of Poplarville hosted its annual Christmas Float Parade in collaboration with the Poplarville Chamber of Commerce. The parade featured over 100 floats representing community businesses and Poplarville sports teams, parading through downtown. The streets were filled with friends and families enjoying the spectacle.
Saturday brought “Christmas on Main,” starting at 8 am, featuring various activities, snacks, and drinks for attendees. Local entertainment from schools, including MSP Singers, PHS Shades of Gold, MSP Dance Team, and the PHS Honeybees Dance Team, added to the day’s events.
The back-to-back celebrations allowed residents and visitors to unite, enjoy the holiday spirit, and strengthen community bonds. The diverse range of floats and the participation of local groups showcased the rich tapestry of Poplarville’s community, fostering a sense of unity and celebration during the festive season.
