Jacob Hoover, a member of the 4-H organization in Pearl River County, was honored with the Spirit of 4-H Award during the 4-H Legislative Day Appreciation Reception on February 6 in Jackson, Mississippi.

The event, which took place at the Mississippi State Capitol, is an annual opportunity for Mississippi 4-H Council officers and ambassadors to visit their legislative leaders. This visit not only provides 4-H members with insight into the workings of state government but also serves as a gesture of appreciation to legislators for their support of 4-H and the Mississippi State University Extension Service, which oversees 4-H programs statewide.

Present at the recognition ceremony were AT&T Director of External Affairs Michael Walker, Mississippi State University Extension Service Director Angus Catchot, and Extension Center for 4-H Youth Development Head Linda Mitchell, alongside Jacob Hoover.
