Narcotics investigators executed a search warrant Friday, February 14, at a residence in Poplarville, leading to the arrest of two individuals on drug and weapons charges.

According to law enforcement officials, investigators searched a home at 6 Bazor Road, occupied by Craig Stogner, 49, and Jessica Barnes, 39. During the search, authorities discovered marijuana, buprenorphine pills, and unidentified substances, which have been sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for analysis.

Investigators also found Stogner in possession of throwing knives, which he is prohibited from possessing due to his status as a convicted felon.
Stogner and Barnes were transported to the Pearl River County Jail, where they were booked for possession of marijuana and possession of buprenorphine. Stogner faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon by a felon.

Authorities said additional charges may be filed pending the results of the crime lab’s analysis of the unidentified substances.
