The Pearl River Central Water Association has officially lifted the precautionary boil water notice issued on December 21, 2023, for the Progress area, Mill Creek Rd., Poplarville, MS, and surrounding areas where residents were without water.
The decision to lift the notice comes after thorough testing of water quality and the completion of necessary precautions to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the water supply. Residents in the affected areas are no longer required to boil water before consumption or other domestic uses.
The precautionary measure was implemented due to a temporary disruption in the water supply. The Pearl River Central Water Association promptly addressed the issue and has been closely monitoring the water quality to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Residents must flush their water lines and clean faucets before resuming normal water usage. Feel free to contact the Pearl River Central Water Association’s customer service line with any concerns or questions about the water supply.
