Among those memorialized were Almond G. Lumpkin, Sr., and Claiborne McDonald IV, both attorneys from Poplarville.
Chief Justice Michael K. Randolph presided over the ceremony, with Mississippi Bar President Meade W. Mitchell delivering the eulogy. Bar President-Elect J. Rhea Tannehill, Jr. presented the formal resolution, and Presiding Justice James Kitchens offered remarks on behalf of the court.
The Mississippi Bar hosts the memorial service annually to recognize the contributions of deceased members to the legal profession and the rule of law in the state. The service expresses gratitude for their dedication and commitment to justice.
