39th Annual Blueberry Jubilee Delights on Main Street

Poplarville came alive on June 10th as the town celebrated the 39th Annual Blueberry Jubilee, a beloved event that pays homage to the area’s delicious blueberry heritage. This year’s jubilee marked a significant milestone as it debuted on Main Street, drawing in a record-breaking crowd of over 12,000 excited locals and visitors.

Music filled the air as local bands took the stage, serenading the jubilee-goers with a delightful mix of genres. From catchy beats to soulful tunes, the performances struck a chord with the crowd, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

One of the highlights of the event was the highly anticipated dog pageant. Dogs of all shapes and sizes strutted their stuff in adorable outfits, displaying their unique talents to the delight of the spectators.

The Blueberry Jubilee offered various engaging activities alongside the musical and canine entertainment. Dance and karate exhibitions wowed the crowd as kids and adults of all ages showed off their impressive skills.

Of course, Blueberry Jubilee is only complete with abundant blueberry-infused treats. Attendees indulged in a mouthwatering array of culinary delights, including classic blueberry pies, cobblers, refreshing smoothies, and decadent ice creams.

Shirley Wiltshire, President of the Blueberry Jubilee council, expressed immense satisfaction with the event’s success. She highlighted the overwhelming support for moving the festival to Main Street, with attendees and vendors representing their enthusiasm and contentment. Wiltshire also noted the remarkable increase in attendance compared to the previous year, further solidifying the growing popularity and appeal of the Blueberry Jubilee.
